You are never too old, and it is never too late!
Sometimes people reach out to me in a panic, unsure if they have what it takes to start over—especially when considering a new direction in life or even a new career helping others. Just today, I received this message:
"Denise – I have to confess something. I’m scared. I worry I’m not good enough. I worry I am too old. I worry I will never find joy again. How do I have a mindset like yours? When do I break through and stop being afraid?"
My first thought? You are never too old, and it is never too late!
Even when you’re living a fulfilling life, fear of starting over can creep in—especially when you’re thinking about stepping into a new chapter, like a career dedicated to guiding and supporting others. But here’s the truth: You have so much life experience, wisdom, and heart that can make an incredible difference for others. Change and growth are always possible, no matter your age.
You’ve probably heard people say, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” Well, I have good news for you: You can teach an old dog new tricks—if the dog is willing to learn.
Grief is not a choice, but how you live the rest of your life is. You can choose to stay stuck, telling yourself, “I’m too old. This is just who I am. I’ll never change.” Or you can ask yourself better questions:
How can I step into my future?
Who do I need to become?
Who can help me grow, heal, and find purpose again?
What impact could I make by guiding others through their own grief journey?
Am I open, ready, and willing to change my life and even my career?
There is no rewind button in life.
But you can always restart. Let go of the pain, the fear, the belief that it’s too late to begin again.
The only constant in life is change. You are not meant to stay the same person forever. Don’t look back. Don’t stay stuck. Just turn—to the right, to the left, or take a new path entirely. Rediscover yourself. Rewrite your story. Step into your potential and consider how you could help others rewrite theirs.
You can start over—piece by piece or all at once. When you realize that it’s never too late to start over, joy and purpose will follow.
Take a moment to reflect:
Are you living the life you want right now?
Do you feel joy, purpose, and fulfillment?
Are you living life on your terms—or do you dream of doing more to help others?
If the answer is no, now is the time to rise. You are capable of so much more than you realize. You can create a life where you not only find your own healing but guide others to do the same.
Whether it’s through starting anew or building a career as a FLOW Grief Release Practitioner, you have the power to make an incredible impact.
Have an awesome day. Always here for you, Denise Dielwart ❤️😀🙏👍
