Who Am I?

When my husband, Maarten, passed away in 2009, it felt like my whole world crumbled. I was hit with a wave of emotions - anger, sadness, loneliness - while everyone else seemed to be moving forward with their lives. I didn't know how to cope without him. I was lost and broken, and I knew I needed help to find my way back.

After trying countless methods, I had a lightbulb moment. I realized that if I ever wanted to feel whole again, I had to take charge of my own healing journey. So, I dove headfirst into self-discovery and growth. That's when I decided to become a Life Coach and Grief Specialist, initially to help myself through my own pain and heartache.

But as I started healing and moving forward, I couldn't shake the feeling that I needed to pay it forward. Seeing how much relief and healing I experienced, I felt this burning desire to help others who were struggling with grief and uncertainty. My husband's passing completely changed the trajectory of my life, but through that pain, I found a new sense of purpose.

Now, I help others navigate the rollercoaster ride from heartache to happiness. I get it - putting on that "happy" mask every day while feeling like you're falling apart inside. But trust me, there's light at the end of the tunnel, even if the road ahead seems unclear. In honoring my husband's memory, I've discovered this calling to be a beacon of hope for others in their darkest moments.
